How Commissions Are Deducted
- Commissions are automatically deducted from your account balance at the time of the trade. To keep track of adjustments, ensure you monitor your balance directly within Tradovate.
- Please review the image below that shows the Tradovate Performance report and how commissions are deducted.Example: A trade is placed using 1 contract on NQ. The per side commission is $1.55. The trade is opened with 1 contract and closed with a second contract to flatten the position. Hence, 2 contracts multiplied by $1.55 commission = $3.10.On the Tradovate Performance Tab, the trade gross P&L is shown in blue, and the commissions for the trade are added in red. This results in a P&L of -$65, then deducting $3.10 in commissions, this equals a net P&L of -$68.10.
NinjaTrader Users
- If using NinjaTrader with Tradovate or Rithmic connections, commissions may not automatically reflect in your balance. You can manually enable this by defining commission settings.
