What is Rithmic Level 2 Market Depth?

Rithmic Level 2 provides a real-time view of the order book, showing the Best Bid/Ask prices along with multiple price levels above and below the market. It displays where buyers and sellers are placing limit orders, giving traders deeper insight into liquidity and potential price movement.

Why Use Level 2 Data in Prop Firm Trading?

• Order Flow Insight: Helps identify where large resting orders may act as support or resistance.
• Improved Trade Timing: Seeing how liquidity shifts can help refine entries and exits.
• Scalping & Short-Term Trading: Level 2 helps read micro-structure and momentum.
• Better Risk Management: Understanding liquidity helps avoid thin areas where slippage is more likely.

Subscribing to Market Depth

1. Navigate to the Rithmic Add-ons Tab:
   1. Log in to your Apex Trader Funding admin area.
   2. Go to the Rithmic Add-ons section.
2. Subscribe to the Market Depth:
   1. Select the option to subscribe to the exchange that you wish to purchase Level-2 data, or select Market Depth All.
   2. The subscription cost is $10 per exchange or $30 for Market Depth All (4 exchanges), regardless of the subscription date.
3. Subscription Validity:
   1. Your subscription remains active until the last day of the current month at 5:00 PM ET.
   2. To continue using the Market Depth, you must repurchase the subscription during the first few days of the new calendar month. Tip: The best day to subscribe is the first day of the calendar month to maximize your subscription period.
      

Once the payment has been completed, you can connect to your Rithmic Configuration on your platform and load a DOM to check the full orderbook is being displayed (rather than just the Best Bid/Best Ask for the top-of-book).

 

How to Obtain Two Rithmic Login Sessions

Enhance your trading capabilities by securing two Rithmic login sessions. Follow the steps below to subscribe and manage your sessions effectively.

Subscribing to a Second Login Session

1. Navigate to the Rithmic Add-ons Tab:
   1. Log in to your Apex Trader Funding admin area.
   2. Go to the Rithmic Add-ons section.
2. Subscribe to the Second Session:
   1. Select the option to subscribe to a second login session.
   2. The subscription cost is $30, regardless of the subscription date.
3. Subscription Validity:
   1. Your subscription remains active until the last day of the current month at 5:00 PM ET.
   2. To continue using the second session, you must repurchase the subscription during the first few days of the new calendar month. Tip: The best day to subscribe is the first day of the calendar month to maximize your subscription period.

Utilizing the Second Login Session

With two Rithmic login sessions, you can take advantage of advanced trading tools and features:

• Utilize an Orderflow platform:
  • Monitor liquidity heatmaps using Bookmap while actively trading via another platform, such as NinjaTrader8.
• Order Book:
  • Gain deeper insights into market orders and trading activity.
• Depth of Market (DOM):
  • View the range of buy and sell orders at different price levels to make informed trading decisions.

Managing Your Subscriptions

• Automatic Expirations:
  • The Market Depth & Second Login Session will automatically expire on the last day of the calendar month.
• Renewal Process:
  • Ensure you log in and renew your subscriptions early in the month to avoid any interruption in service.
