All accounts must be traded directionally. You may not hold opposing long and short positions at the same time in correlated instruments, contract sizes, or across multiple accounts.
This includes:
- Trading opposite directions in micro and mini contracts of the same market
- Spread trading correlated indices (e.g., long ES and short YM)
- Holding opposing positions in correlated markets such as indices, metals, grains, or currencies
- Trading opposite positions with other traders in the same household or other related parties.
For example, you may not be short NQ while long ES, or long Micro ES while short Mini ES.
Hedging or offsetting positions across correlated instruments is not permitted.
Violation of this rule results in account closure.
