New Feature: Early Account Update Notifications

We’ve introduced a new system designed to help traders stay informed and avoid unnecessary payout denials. Apex may now send account update notifications when certain trading activity impacts payout eligibility. These notifications provide early visibility into account status related to payouts, so you can continue trading with clarity and confidence.

What are account update notifications?

Account update notifications are informational alerts sent when trading activity affects payout eligibility. They are intended to keep you aware of your account’s payout status as it relates to key risk-management rules.

These notifications are meant to provide clarity early, rather than having payout-impacting issues surface later during payout review.

What’s New

Previously, violations were only discovered when submitting a payout request, often after completing additional trading days that couldn’t be applied toward eligibility.

With this update, you’ll be notified the next trading day, so you can immediately start working toward your next payout without wasted effort. This means fewer surprises, faster recovery, and more control over your trading journey.

What happens if you receive a notification?

If trading activity on your account results in a rule violation, an account update notification will be triggered. The following actions will be taken:

Payout Request Suspension: The payout request feature on your account will be temporarily disabled for 8 trading days from the date of the violation. You may continue trading as normal during this period. After the 8-day suspension, payout eligibility will be restored only if no additional rule violations occur and you complete at least 5 qualifying trading days with a minimum profit of $150 per day.

Profit Removal: All profits generated on the trading day in which the violation occurred will be removed in accordance with Apex risk-management policy. This applies to all trading violations, including Scaling and Maximum Adverse Excursion (MAE).

Payout Eligibility Limitation: Following a violation, payout eligibility will be limited to profits earned after the violation date. This limitation remains in place until you successfully complete your next approved payout request at the maximum payout amount for your account size (for example, $2,000 for a $50K account or $2,500 for a $100K account). Partial payout requests will not satisfy this requirement. Once these conditions are met, full payout eligibility will be restored.

Why Apex takes this approach

Risk-management rules are designed to help traders stay consistent, manage drawdowns, and avoid emotional decision-making that can negatively impact long-term performance.

By providing earlier visibility into payout-related account status, Apex aims to support disciplined trading and reduce avoidable frustration during the payout process. This approach helps protect both your account and your progress, while keeping expectations clear.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the payout request feature be unavailable?

In applicable cases, the payout request feature will be temporarily unavailable for 8 trading days. Once the 8-day period ends, payout requests may be submitted again as long as the requirements outlined above are met.

Can I continue trading if I receive an account update notification?

Yes. You may continue trading as normal after receiving an account update notification.

However, while trading itself is not restricted, payout eligibility may be limited. In certain situations, profits generated prior to the notification may not be eligible for payout, and only profits earned after the rule-related activity may count toward future payouts until specific payout conditions are met.

Does this affect all my accounts?

No, the waiting period applies only to the PA account that violated at least one of the Performance Account (PA) Trading Rules. All other accounts under your name remain unaffected and can request payouts according to standard  Performance Account (PA) Payout Criteria

Does receiving a notification mean my account will be closed?

No. Receiving an account update notification does not mean your account is being closed. These notifications are intended to provide early visibility into payout-related account status and help traders stay on track.

Will this permanently affect my payout eligibility?

No. These measures are temporary. For single instances, once the applicable conditions are met and there are no additional rule violations, payout eligibility can be restored.

However, multiple instances of rule-related activity, including across multiple accounts, may result in the account being placed on probation. Probation is intended to reinforce disciplined risk management and requires strict adherence to all trading rules for a defined period before normal account status is restored.
