T-Mobile Hit With $60M Fine For Data Security Violations: Report
On Wednesday, T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMUS) was reportedly fined $60 million by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. for failing to prevent and report unauthorized access to sensitive data.
The penalty, which is the company’s largest penalty ever, relates to violations of a mitigation agreement that German-controlled T-Mobile agreed to during its $23 billion acquisition of Sprint Corp in 2020, Reuters reports.
