Asia Markets Slide, Europe Advances, While Crude Oil Falls Below $80 Again - Global Markets Today While US Slept

On Wednesday, May 29th, U.S. stock markets closed in red as the U.S. stocks Wednesday amid rising Treasury yields and uncertainty over Federal Reserve interest rate cuts. The Dow fell over 1%, hitting a nearly one-month low. According to the economic data, the Dallas Fed’s business activity index for Texas’ service sector fell to -12.1 in May from -10.6 in April. All S&P 500 sectors ended lower, with rate-sensitive utilities experiencing some of the steepest declines. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.06% and closed at 38,441.54.
